التاريخ

The Andong Kwon clan was founded by Gwon Haeng, who helped Wang Geon defeat the Later Baekje forces at the Battle of Gochang in 930 AD. Wang Geon personally bestowed the surname Gwon (meaning 'authority') as a reward. Nearly all Korean Kwons belong to this single clan.
