Agarwal traces its origin to the city of Agroha in present-day Haryana, the legendary capital of King Agrasena, a mythological merchant king. Agarwals are a Vaishya (trading) community distributed across North India, particularly in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Delhi. They are renowned as one of India's most entrepreneurial communities, with a strong presence in trade, industry, and finance.
