Origen e historia

Bùi derives from the Chinese character 裴 (Péi), a clan name associated with the Pei family of Shanxi province, which produced many Tang-dynasty officials and scholars. The name entered Vietnam during the Tang period of Chinese rule and spread through the educated mandarin class. It remains one of the more prominent surnames in Vietnamese intellectual and political history.
