Origine et histoire
Đinh corresponds to the Chinese character 丁 (Dīng), the fourth of the Ten Heavenly Stems in traditional cosmology, symbolizing strength. The name is associated with the Đinh Dynasty (968–980), the first truly unified Vietnamese state, founded by Đinh Bộ Lĩnh who ended decades of civil war among twelve warlords. Though short-lived, the dynasty established Hoa Lư as Vietnam's first imperial capital.
