Asal-usul & Sejarah

The Deng surname derives from the ancient state of Deng, established by Man, a son of Emperor Gao of the Shang Dynasty, in present-day Hubei province. The state was annexed by Chu in 678 BC, and its people adopted Deng as their surname. The clan's prominence grew dramatically in modern times through Deng Xiaoping, whose economic reforms transformed China into a major global power.
