기원 및 역사

The Jo (趙) surname traces back to the ancient Chinese state of Zhao. The Hanyang Jo clan, originating from the Goryeo period, is one of the largest branches. Many Jo families rose to prominence as scholars and officials during the Joseon Dynasty.
