The Jeju Ko clan traces its origin to Go Eul-na, one of the three divine progenitors of the Tamna Kingdom who emerged from three holes in the ground on Jeju Island. This is one of Korea's oldest clan legends, and the Ko surname is closely associated with Jeju's unique heritage.
