Origine et histoire

The Lee surname is the second most common in Korea and was the royal surname of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897). The Jeonju Lee clan, founded by Yi Seong-gye (King Taejo), became one of the most prestigious lineages. Other major branches include the Gyeongju, Deoksu, and Yeonan Lee clans.
