由来と歴史

The Tian surname derives from Gui Wan, a nobleman of the state of Chen who fled to the state of Qi around 672 BC and was given the clan name Tian. His descendants eventually replaced the ruling Jiang clan of Qi through the famous 'Tian family's seizing of Qi' (田氏代齐) in 391 BC. The character 田 means cultivated field, symbolising diligence and agrarian values.
